Eng. Atef Helmy is the chairman of Prime Business Consulting. He has over 35 years of experience in communications and information technology, and has lead numerous executive management positions in two of the top Fortune 100 multinationals, namely NCR/AT&T and Oracle in the United States of America, Europe, Middle East and Africa, reaching the positions of Managing Director of NCR UAE and Managing Director of Oracle Egypt.

In January 2013, Eng. Helmy assumed responsibility as Egypt's Minister of Communications and Information Technology, where he chaired the Boards of the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (NTRA), the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA), and the National Telecommunication Institute (NTI). He also chaired the Board of Trustees of the Information Technology Institute (ITI), the Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (TIEC), and oversaw the institutional development of Egypt Post. Eng. Helmy was responsible for Egypt's transformation into the global digital economy, as envisioned in the National ICT Strategy 2013-2020. He spearheaded several national mega initiatives to achieve this goal, namely: creating the necessary infrastructure to make Egypt the Internet Digital Hub of the Region, developing a national integrated digital platform (Digital Society) to contribute to sustainable socio-economic development, and supporting the ICT industry development and job creation through fostering innovation, and attracting FDI. Major countrywide projects such as the Broadband Initiative, Digital Dividend, Unified Telecom License, newly created Infrastructure Company, Cloud Computing, Mobile Money, Financial Inclusion, Technology Parks, the Suez Canal’s ICT Infrastructure and services, the new Government to Citizens digital services (G2C), the local manufacturing of smart meters, smartphones and tablets, and the establishment of enabling ecosystem to enhance education, healthcare and other sectors through technology are currently underway due to bold strategic orientation and forward thinking orchestrated by Eng. Helmy. Most of these projects are currently being implemented utilizing the public-private-partnership model.

Eng. Helmy chaired the WSIS +10 high-level event in Geneva in June 2014, and was awarded the Golden Medallion from the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) for his active role. Prior to becoming Minister, his contribution was instrumental in launching a professional training initiative to train and professionally certify more than 5000 engineering and computer science students, enabling them to become active participants in the regional and global markets. Similarly, in 2005, he launched in Cairo one of Oracle's largest global support centers which later became a trusted reference in portraying Egypt as one of the top destinations for outsourcing and offshoring.

For ten years, Eng. Helmy honorably served in the Egyptian Military Force in the field of communications and information technology. Helmy holds a B.Sc. in Communication and Electrical Engineering (with Honors) from the Military Technical College in 1973, a Diploma in Computer Science from Ain Shams University in 1979, and a Master's degree in IT from Ain Shams University in 1982.

Dr. Hani Elgebaly is the founder and chief executive officer of AvidBeam Technologies Inc., a Video Big Data analytics company. AvidBeam is a pioneering startup in scaling video processing over the cloud with Big Data, machine learning and computer vision algorithms to new levels. AvidBeam developed scalable video processing applications for the autonomous vehicle, security surveillance, retail and manufacturing markets. Before founding AvidBeam, Dr. Elgebaly spent 19 years with Intel Corporation mostly in Oregon, USA. During his tenure with Intel, he led the instantiation of Intel Mobile Platform Software Group in Bangalore, India in 2004 and championed the establishment of the first instantiation of Intel Labs in the Middle East and Africa in Cairo, Egypt in 2010. He also led the establishment of Wireless Center of Excellence (CEWA) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Hani has more than 50 issued US patents, 10 international standard contributions and over 40 journal and conference publications. He is a Senior IEEE member and was nominated for Canada’s Governor General Award for scholarly academic achievement and also for Distinguished Researcher Award for unusual contribution in a PhD dissertation.

He received his Ph.D. degree in computer science from the University of Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, M.S. degree in computational science from University of Saskatchewan, Canada, and B.S. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering with highest honors from Cairo University, Egypt.

Eng. Osama Yassin has long experience in general management, project management, GSM networks & information technology fields gained in many countries. He worked for international companies for almost 25 years in the telecommunications and energy sectors.

Companies served include: Qatar Petroluem, Adco Oil Company in UAE, Shell Egypt, Orascom Telecom, Investcom/MTN and lately a board Member & CEO of Telecom Egypt till end of March 2016. He grasped experiences from his long experience working in several countries across MEA in Egypt, Qatar, UAE, Algeria, Cyprus, Syria, Lebanon, Sudan, Iraq, and Afghanistan.

Before joining Prime Business Consulting as Managing Partner, Eng. Rabie served as Chief Business Officer at Etisalat Misr, where he established the Enterprise Business Unit (EBU) that focused on serving business customers more effectively with a progressive product portfolio and innovative solutions. During his tenure, Etisalat Misr was able to introduce complete end-to-end ICT solutions for the first time in the market, causing the EBU to experience double-digit YoY growth, and resulting in an increase in the company’s market share. In his capacity, he also assumed the role of CEO of Etisalat’s affiliated ISPs: Nile-on-Line and EgyNet.

Prior to his Etisalat role, Rabie served As Vice President of North East Africa for Public & Economic Affairs at Ericsson, and was the company’s representative towards government institutions, international, national and local authorities, as well as business/industry associations in Egypt. Moreover, Rabie assumed business responsibility over Vertical Markets business development.

Rabie had previously served as Nokia Siemens Networks’ Egypt Country Director, and was responsible for NSN growth and expansion in Egypt. He held the positions as the CEO, member of the Board of Directors in Nokia Siemens Network S.A.E, and CEO of Nokia Siemens Networks LLC Egypt. He held a number of senior positions at Siemens in various locations, such as Germany, Dubai, and Pakistan, and successfully contributed to the company’s reorganization, restructuring, Business Development and Account Management for key carrier accounts, wherein he established new client accounts and started a business diversity plan for the company.

Rabie graduated from Cairo University with a bachelor’s degree in Communications and Computer Science Engineering. He has undertaken several professional studies and technical training programs. He concluded an Executive Management Program and Finance Diploma at Duke University, USA, and Babson Executive Management, USA, and he also holds a Human Resource Management Diploma from the American University in Cairo.

Dr. Amr Badawi is founder and President of BTel Consulting LLC in Virginia. He served as the First Deputy Minister of Finance for Institutional Development from July 2014 till April 2016. He served as a member of the board of the National Telecom Regulatory Authority (NTRA)in Egypt for more than ten years (January2006 till June 2016). He was the Executive President of NTRA from Jan 2006 till July 2013. He has also rejoined Cairo University where he is a faculty member of the Electronics and Communications Dept. since 1987.

He served as Senior Advisor to the Minister of Communications and Information Technology, where he handled the development of the Telecom Sector. He also directed the process of the IPO of Telecom Egypt in 2005.

Dr. Badawi joined MCIT after a nine-year tenure with GTE & General Dynamics. There, he acted as Program Manager and in several other technical positions in the Telecom Sector Support and the ICT programs in Egypt. Prior to his tenure at GTE he founded Telecomp International in Egypt in 1990. He was a Telecom consultant for several government and private entities from 1987 - 1995.

Dr. Badawi was a Telecom Systems Engineer at Aydin Systems, San Jose, California from 1984 – 1987.

Dr. Badawi received a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, California in 1986 and obtained both his M.Sc. and B.Sc. degrees in Electronics Engineering from Cairo University in 1979 and 1977.

Raafat Radwan is one of the leaders who paved the way for Egypt transformation into the information age. Dr. Mahmoud El Dessouky has over 40 years of solid experience in both Telecommunications and Information Technology (IT). Dr. El Dessouky has 2 Ph.D. degrees, his first Ph.D. degree (1977), is in Telecommunications while his second (1980), is in Computer Science. Dr. El Dessouky's experience extends to several domains including Academics, Scientific Research, Consultancy, Implementation Supervision, Projects Management, Procurement Management and several other domains. Dr. El Dessouky's research work at Paris 11 and Illinois universities in the fields of Distributed Computing and Computer Networks received international recognition and commendation. During his academic life (1967 – 1989); Dr. El Dessouky has supervised several Ph.D. students and tens of Masters’ students. Eng. Hussein El-Gueretly is a member of the board of directors of the National Bank of Egypt and in Al Ahly Company for Fund Management, which manages some of Egypt’s largest funds. Maged has more than 30 years of experience in the areas of Sales, Marketing, Corporate Communications and Strategy of blue chip multinationals, entrepreneurship, government and national organizations.

Maged worked for Egypt Post for 3 years, as a Vice Chairman for Sales & Marketing. During that time, he played a pivotal role in the “Automation of the 3.5M Social Pensions”, and built a new commercial organization based on "Go To Market Concept". Also, he was nominated to represent Egypt Post in Etisalat Misr board of directors.

Prior to his appointment to Egypt Post, he established & managed, with majority stake ownership, a Public & Media Relations company; serving key accounts in CIT and banking industries.

Maged also worked for Vodafone Egypt for 7 years where his role included, Corporate Sales Manager, Head of Corporate Sales, Head of Strategic Relations, and Head of Public and Media relations.

Prior to joining Vodafone, Maged worked for AT&T, and Lucent Technologies, for more than 16 years commencing in 1985 as system engineer, followed by Sales Manager, Marketing Manager, Regional Sales & Marketing Manager (ME&A), and Sales Director (ME&A).

Maged graduated from Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University in 1983. He completed the "project management program” from Stevens Institute of Technology in 1999 and in 2005 he completed his study in Executive MBA from IESE Business School. He also took many specialized training programs in the area of Marketing, customer services and strategic planning from the Universities of IMD, Switzerland & London Business School, England.

Dr. Adly is a Professor of Computer and Systems Engineering at Alexandria University. She has obtained her PhD in Computer Science from Cambridge University, UK, in 1995. Dr. Adly has served in several positions since 1988 locally and abroad. During her early academic career, she served as a teaching assistant and a visiting lecturer at different universities in Egypt. She was a visiting researcher at Georgia Tech in 1991 and at Cornell University in 1993, USA. In 1995, she has been a research associate at AT&T Research Labs, Cambridge, UK for two years.

Dr. Adly has assumed the role of the First Deputy to the Minister of Communication and Information Technology, Egypt from March 2013 until February 2016. During this period, she has been responsible for the ICT Sector overall strategy formulation as well as the development of the sector strategic business plans and the specialized strategies. She managed along with her leadership to develop the ICT sector strategic business plans for 2020. She also was responsible for the development of the National Digital Arabic Content Strategy, the Free Open Source Systems Strategy as well as the Government Cloud Computing Strategy.

Until February 2013, Dr. Adly served as Head of ICT sector at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina (BA). She was called to join the Library in 1997 to serve as a consultant for the design and installation of its network and information system. Since then, she had served in several managerial positions at the BA where her responsibility had been articulated around the BA’s overall ICT strategy, architecting its data policies and methodologies including the design of its institutional repository and digital library initiatives. She had undertaken the role designing and overseeing the implementation of state-of-the-art technologies in the digital preservation arena, with a focus on Arabic content. Since 2002, Dr. Adly has been managing the implementation of the first and only mirror of the Internet Archive at the BA. Currently, Dr. Adly is forming an Advanced Research Group at the BA, conducting quantitative analysis and big data analytics for multi-disciplinary research.

Dr. Adly has also many consultancy and leading roles concerning the design and implementation of information systems and digital libraries in several world-class institutions. She is also a member of ACM and IEEE as well as other scientific organizations. She is author/co-author of more than 50 publications in peer reviewed journals and scientific conferences in the field of computer science and engineering.

Nayera Amin has almost 40 years of banking experience: 30 with Citigroup, 2 years with Bank Audi Egypt, and 7 years with Piraeus Bank Egypt, with extensive experience in multiple aspects of banking including corporate banking, financial institutions, public sector, treasury, marketing, risk & credit approval management, retail & branch banking, new business development, general bank management, SME business development, and Leasing & Asset Based Finance.

Ms. Amin is also experienced in formulating/implementing strategies to poise banks for growth & profitability, focusing on core business & cost/benefit rationalization, portfolio clean-ups, business rationalization, work out & turnaround experience, due diligence, corporate governance, risk management, and business & people management.

Yehia ElAgami has more than 40 years of experience in the financial services industry, mainly in the banking and insurance sectors, in Egypt as well as in Saudi Arabia. Throughout his career, he held multiple executive roles and served as a board member across a diverse set of reputable banking and insurance institutions, both private and government-owned.

Mr. ElAgami's key areas of expertise include, but are not limited to, retail banking strategy development, product and channel offering design and development, branch sales boost, customer experience enhancement, digital banking transformation, small and medium enterprise regulation and strategy, investment portfolio management, among others.

Most recently, Mr. ElAgami spent over 10 years at Banque Misr where he was the General Manager of the Retail Banking and Micro & Small Enterprises (MSEs) Division as well as an Executive Committee member. During his time at Banque Misr, he undertook a transformation program to restructure and modernize the bank's Retail and MSEs Division. Prior to this, he was the President of the Small Enterpise Development Organization (SEDO) under the umbrella of Egypt's Social Fund for Development (SFD – the Cabinet) and he held executive roles at Al Watany Bank of Egypt, the Egyptian American Bank, Saudi Cairo Bank, among others.

Mr. ElAgami currently serves as a board member at the Cooperative Insurance Society (CIS) in Egypt, and he previously served as a board member at Alexandria Mineral Oils Company (AMOC) for ten years, as well as at the Industrial Development Bank (IDP), the Egyptian Association for Incubators, the Egyptian Franchise Association, the Credit Bureau, among others. He was also the Chairman of the Board of Trustees Foundation (SFD and UNDP join program) during his presidency at SEDO.

Furthermore, Mr. ElAgami was chosen by the International Retail Banking Academy as an honorary member and he was the first Certified Retail Banker in North Africa and the Middle East.

Mr. Mohamed Awad has over 35 years of solid experience in state owned and investment banking and operations and finance related areas, with deep comprehension of central operations, trade finance, inspection, IT and corporate and retail financing.

Mr. Fathy also owns a wide range of managerial skills. In the mid-seventies He began his career as a banker with National Bank of Kuwait and then moved to Egypt in 1977 to CITI Bank where he progressed to Operations Officer. In December 1986, Mr. Mohamed Awad joined Misr America International Bank (affiliated with Bank of America) where he promoted to become a Branch Operations Officer.

In September 1988 he located in KSA to join Riyadh Bank with the responsibility of inspecting all branches & head office departments. In early 1991, Mr. Mohamed Awad repositioned in Egypt and rejoined Misr America International Bank to become Head of inspection. In 1993 he moved to American Express Bank where he earned promotions to Assistant to the Country Operations Manager. In 2005 he leaped to Vice President wholesale operations risk management with Bank Credit Agricole Egypt.

In July 2007, he moved to Banque Misr as Deputy General Manager Central Operations. In September 2008 he was sought out by Al Watany Bank of Egypt and accepted General Manager Operations position. And in 2009 he joined the top management team of Banque du Caire in his capacity as General Manager Central Operations and Administration. In September 2012, He was recognized as high potential executive and was nominated as Senior General Manager and Executive Director. Lately he held non-executive board membership in different banks, namely: non-executive board member at Cairo Int’l Bank Kampala – Uganda, whereby he was the head of audit committee, member of the risk committee and member of the HR committee, not only this but also, he was a non-executive board member at Banque Du Caire from 2014 to 2017, whereby he was a member of the HR committee and member of the IT committee. He holds Bachelor degree in Accounting from Ain Shams University, Faculty of Commerce 1975.
